Hedge cutting, reduction and tree services across Sittingbourne, Milton Regis, Kemsley and the Fruit Belt villages. Every quote itemised into labour, waste disposal and access - not one vague number. Fully insured. We plan around the bird-nesting window (1 March – 31 August). Six-week conservation-area notice filed for you where needed.

What we do

Hedge care and tree work. Costed honestly.

Specified for the heavy Swale-marsh clay around Kemsley and the free-draining brickearth loam of the Fruit Belt villages south of town. Hedge cutting and reduction for the boundary; pruning, reduction and stump grinding for the trees behind it.

Routine hedge trimming

Annual or twice-yearly cuts on privet, leylandii, beech, hornbeam, holly and laurel. Clean lines, arisings cleared, cost broken down before we start.

Height & width reduction

Bringing overgrown hedges back into proportion, including the leylandii rows that dominate the 1970s estates around Murston and Grovehurst.

Overgrown hedge reclamation

For hedges that have been left for years. Staged reduction that brings the plant back without killing it, priced by stage.

Why local matters

Sittingbourne hedges aren't generic hedges.

The town and Milton Creek sit on heavy, wet Swale-marsh clay that stays waterlogged through winter around Kemsley and the industrial estates. Head a mile or two south, towards Rodmersham, Tunstall and Bapchild, and the soil switches to the free-draining brickearth loam that made this stretch of Kent the historic "Fruit Belt" - different growth rates, different watering needs, different species that actually thrive.

We price to that variation, not against it. Fast-growing leylandii on the marsh-edge estates. Hornbeam and yew where the loam runs deep. A tape measure on any stem near the 75mm conservation-area threshold before we touch it.

In a conservation area?

We handle the paperwork, and cost it at £0.

Both the Sittingbourne town centre conservation area and the Milton Regis conservation area, administered by Swale Borough Council, catch any tree with a stem over 75mm at chest height - six weeks' written notice required before pruning. We file the section-211 notice on your behalf and it never appears as a line item on your bill.
